Signal Jamming Devices

The use of an electronic device, such as a cell phone jammer, GPS/RF Jammer, or any other signal jamming device specifically designed to deliberately jam, block, or otherwise interfere with authorized wireless communications is an illegal act. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this rule for the use inside of a private residence, classroom, office, or car. It is against the law for anyone to use a cell phone microphone, GPS/RF Jammer, etc. to eavesdrop on private conversations in these places. Additionally, it is illegal to knowingly send false signals that interfere with another party's radio communications and is considered a serious crime.

There are many different types of signal jamming devices, both from companies and for individuals. This jamming can be caused by excessive radio frequencies (including FCC), by a weak or nonexistent signal, or even for malicious reasons. However, the most common are the following:

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Jammer - An RFID jammer is an electronic component that alters a radio frequency without creating an audio signal. These devices are often used in casinos, but they can also be used in other settings where an interfering signal is unwanted. These can be placed around a warehouse to prevent the transmission of sensitive information, they can be placed on the ground to stop the transfer of sensitive information, etc. While these can all interfere with similar signals, they work in slightly different ways. Generally, they work by affecting the RF signal rather than the audio portion of the signal.

GPS/RFID Jammer - A GPS/RFID jamming device specifically designed for the military, law enforcement, and public safety communications. In the case of the military, it prevents the transmission of sensitive U.S. markings and logo. For law enforcement and public safety communications, the jamming device prevents the transmission of identifying personal information from databases and also blocks cell phone towers and interfering wireless radios. Antenna jammer - An antenna jammer generally restricts a certain frequency. There are some types of jammer that are capable of blocking all radio frequencies, while others are capable of only restricting certain frequencies. These are generally used by radio carriers to prevent the use of unauthorized radio communications systems, and they are subject to the same federal law as other jamming equipment.

Signal jamming devices are often used by public safety communications (fire department, police, EMT, and other) and emergency communications (fire, medical, and EMT). This is because of the serious threat that such a situation poses to the public safety agencies and the EMTs when using unlicensed communications resources. Many people do not carry portable communication devices with them in the event of an emergency. Unlicensed communications are the major cause of interruptions to emergency communications. Thus, it is important to protect these resources by using appropriate signal jamming devices. Check out these reasons why you need signal  jammers.
